Our Drew Eagles have been very busy this quarter! The kindergartners practiced their speaking and listening skills when they interviewed their friend to learn more about their toy preferences. They also used all of the elements of STEAM in their "Toys and Play" project. They learned about force and motion, created a prototype of their friend's toy, engineered and designed a toy using recyclable materials, and incorporated attributes such as size, color, shape, and texture into their project. Arabella created a small dollhouse for Ellie, that included a fuzzy roof and curtains that swing back & forth. Ellie made Arabella's dollhouse BIG with a swinging chandelier and lots of bling!
August is estatic about her dollhouse! Harlee made it the perfect size and even included a winding stair case. Harlee loves the monster truck, she wanted it big and pink, and August delivered!
Ayden loves his water bottle race car James created for him, equipped with moving wheels and a flame of fire! James loves his robot created by Ayden, especially the wiggle arms.
Hank created a robot for Benjamin. He thinks the button mouth is cool and loves the handle on the back where he can pretend his robot is flying. Hank was overjoyed with the tow truck Benjamin created for him. He especially loves that the crane moves up and down and that it says "Hank's Towing".
Damien created a pink and yellow monster truck for Reece. He loves that it can BIG wheels. Reece created a green and blue dirt bike for Damien, he is excited it that it can roll back and forth.
Joelle created a slinky robot for Zella. She loves how the head bobbles back & forth. Joelle loves the airplane Zella created for her, especially the spinning propeller.
Thisbe created a rainbow unicorn Pegasus robot for Leila, that can roll back & forth. Leila created a medium sized dollhouse for Thisbe, equipped with moving ceiling fans and doors that open and shut.
Wyatt was all smiles when he received the tank created for him by Quartez. He loves the black and red color and that he can push it back & forth. Moses created a car for Quartez, he loves the clear wheels and the smooth feel of it. Moses was ecstatic to receive his toy train created by Wyatt. He loves the googly eyes, and the red stripes.
Talaya created a small dollhouse for Ryan, she included feathers and made furniture from straws and bottle caps. Ryan also made a small dollhouse for Talaya, she loves the fuzzy couch and that the door opens and shuts.
