Our Drew Eagles made toys for their friend using recycled materials. They had so much fun presenting and receiving a special toy based on their preferences. The students became toy experts while implementing all the elements of STEAM via reading books about force and motion, participating in class game time, sorting objects based on attributes, making blueprints and prototypes of the toy, and designing and building the final toy.
In addition to our final products, each of our students created STEAM Learning Journals that chronicles their design process journey. One is shown below, after the final products.
