During my time at UGA and GSU I really enjoyed the fact that I got to experience many different voices, and I got to really hear what it sounded like singing in a large choir. Drew never really has huge choirs, so I really enjoyed this opportunity. I would say that I enjoyed UGA more because there were a lot more people and they did many performances to give you insight on what UGA does. The only thing I would change is the fact that we got our music the same day, although I really learned a lot from the woman who directed us, I feel like if we got our music ahead of time I would have felt more prepared. Some songs we sang were "We are the music makers, Ndikhokhele Bawo, and measure me sky.
Based on our enrichment performance, if i was an LGPE judge , i would give our entire group either a 3 or 4 because in the beginning, sounded okay because we were all in tempo, and we sang our parts our loud so that each section could be heard, but towards the middle and end, everything just kind of derailed and we kept getting faster and not enunciating so the words sounded sloppy. I feel like the soprano section did alright, one glow i would give our section, is when our part of the piece was higher than the rest, I was able to hear us sing out so we would be heard better. A grow I had for us was to sing out more at times where everyone is singing the chorus of the song, because at times i feel like we couldn’t be heard. Based on our performance, i would say that page 15 measure 40 all the way to the end could have lots of improvements because i felt thats where we started slurring our words and moving really fast. For me personally, I would want to improve on singing the higher parts louder and more accurate like the ending for example.
