I composed a children's book in Spanish called Día soleado en el parque (Sunny day in the park), where a group of friends go to the park to play and spend time together. In the composition and reading, I practiced important language abilities such as applying present tense verbs, simple words regarding nature, action, and emotions, and simple sentence construction. I also needed to make the language child-friendly and easy to read. Maintaining proper grammar without compromising the naturalness and fun of the Spanish story was one of the difficulties. This exercise enabled me to enhance my Spanish reading and writing skills.
In class, I was tasked with making a recipe for a spanish speaking country. The country I ended up choosing was Argentina. I researched their cuisine to find a recipe for an main dish plus either a appetizer or dessert. Once I found what I wanted to make I had to simplify the recipe to state the ingredients and instructions in spanish using the class vocab and grammer.
In class, we started learning about the human body parts in Spanish. After getting a better understanding of each body part, we were given a diagram of labels, and we were supposed to match them with the human body. We were assigned to build a monster. But we couldn't build it how we wanted it, we had to roll a dice and see what number we landed on.
