The prompt of this essay was to write about the rhetorical choices Arthur Miller made in The Crucible.  The rhetorical choices that I wrote that Miller used were diction that demonstrated the he felt like he could relate to the Salem Witch Trials, imagery to create a dark and sad tone about the Salem Witch trials, and he used an anecdote to recall another time when he was inspired to write the play.
