Tattoo Design
In this project, we learned how to make tattoo ink and how to create different designs using the ink. We learned to incorporate value, an element in art that refers to the lightness or darkness of color, and we also learned how to incorporate it into our art. In this process, we first learned how to shade using the ink. Then we sketched and shaded our design using a pencil. We then used the ink to create our final design. Learning this skill was very insightful and eye-opening.
Food for Thought
Food for Thought
This project was a combination of three of my classes, but this picture highlights one class, AP World History. In this class, we learned about the Columbian Exchange and how it impacted the rest of the world, even to this day. We studied the exchange of food, diseases, and people. At the end of the project, we had to make a dish with a food that was a part of the Columbian Exchange. My group chose bananas and decided to make banana pudding. This project was a cool way to learn and also share some of our favorite dishes.
