The guernica project was a way for groups to collaborate and recreate a portion of picasso’s famous Guernica piece. We used paint made in chemistry and parts of other classes, mainly Art, to bring the project together. I used my essay in ELA to show how fighting can be used to grow through conflict in sports and it led me to hep answer my driving question. Incorporating emotion was difficult, I liked the actual painting but the sketch part got boring to me.

Artist statement: I chose my artist by looking for artists that make art of animals. My artwork is related to Mr Pompon because we both made animal sculptures with one color. Some decisions that I made while working on this project was to only sculpt the head, go with a more abstract approach, and make one ear shorter than the other after I chipped part of one ear off. 

Por unidad uno en clase Espanol, nuestro proyecto fue crear una presentación de derechos civiles líder. Mi líder fue Ruth Buendia. Ella está en el tribu Ashaninka, que es en Peru, y trabaja a proteger la tierra de los Ashaninka. Yo aprendido mucho de derechos civiles líder y entrenar hablado y escrito más bien. 

For unit one in Spanish, our project was to create a presentation about civil rights leaders. My leader was Ruth Buendia. She is a part of the Ashaninka tribe, which is in Peru, and works to protect the Ashaninka's land. I learned a lot about civil rights leaders and improved my speaking and writing skills in the process. I worked with classmate Axum Nickerson to complete this project.
