Poster Link The link attached shows my market revolution poster, where I created an informational graphic on steamboats. I talked about what they were, how they originated, effects of them, and more as well as including pictures of them.
The image below shows the picture from my power fist project. I chose to represent the Black Power Movement, putting a collage of images and quotes from influential people and moments of the movement. I also had to write a description about the movement explaining its historical context and significance of it.
The Black Power movement started in the 1960s as a way for black Americans to fight racism and gain an identity during a time of racial tension. Leaders like Malcolm X spoke about self-defense and black pride, and Stokely Carmichael helped spread the term “Black Power” and pushed for many political topics. People in the movement marched, protested, and created programs to support black communities and create change.
