My name is Johnathan Makhi Lovett, currently attending Charles R. Drew Charter School. I have been at this school since the very beginning. I'm basically a veteran at this school, being a cradle to college student. Additionally, im starting my Dual Enrollment program, going to Georgia State during my senior year. I already have my panther card ready.
Im not the biggest fan of work from school or home, but I can get work done. Boring class or not, I get my work done with exemplary grades across the board. Now going into my last year of Drew, I hope I can make this my best one yet, and to end off highschool with a bang!
There is a whole other side of me when I'm outside of school. I can finally let loose and be myself when I'm not in a classroom. I'm bold, brash and very loud, but that is what makes me who I am. I like talking a whole lot, with friends or family, I can talk for years and years.
My favorite activites when outside of school are mainly drawing, talking to friends, creating stories, playing games, so on so forth. I let my creative mind go, and its fun while I can let my thoughts fly. Me and my closest friends love hanging out with each other and I've been with them through thick and thin. Those same people shaped who I am today.
My lifelong goals are a mixed bag, some easy to get but others take time and dedication, but I'm up for the challenge. I grew up always wanting to be an artist so I've been practicing all my life and slowly getting better and better over time. I get some of my inspiration from my older brother who went to SCAD, an art college. I always loved art so whenever I get the chance to try new styles or techniques, I'm always up for it. That is not my only goal though. I found a new appreciation of photography and grew a fondess for it. I never knew that I would like photography but now I do, and I'm glad I discovered my love for it. I took classes for photography and my teacher told me I had an eye for interesting shots and that boosted my love for the art. After taking months of photos, I had to go to a BETA club event where many schools compete over different topics and luckily one was taking photos. I participated and got 5th place, not bad for my first competition. This fueled my passion of becoming a professional photographer, as well as a professional artist. Both of these goals can let my creative ideas show in full and I cannot wait until I get there!
