What is Drew like? How is Drew different than other schools? What did I gain from going to Drew?
Drew Charter School looks like no other highschool, and it was suprising to me when I saw everything for the first time. A school standing tall with windows around every turn, open classrooms with even more windows, and even classrooms that are not even in rooms. This school has it all and then some. A bunch of sitting spaces where the lockers are if you ever want to do work outside a classroom, outside tables if you don't want to stay in the cafiteria, you name it.
That isn't all, this school isn't here just to teach, but to grow as a person. We get taught life lessons, what to do with our futures, what we can achieve. This school really has it all, nice and thoughtful teachers, a nice professional evnironment, and spaces just to chill when you have the time.
The school is vast and full of life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
My experiences at Drew are more personal but still memorable, and I keep all of them close to me. Some of my best memories came from both the Elementary and Highschool campus. The younger campus was full of life, with little versions of ourselves running through the hall like no tomorrow. Classrooms were bright and brimming with personality, it was lively there. But the aboslute best memory I have of the Elementary, is the Gifted Trips I took. I was in Gifted Education and every end of the year, we would plan a big trip out of state and it would be a blast, and we would still learn a few things while chilling in a hotel. I would chat with my friends on the bus, see the new sights around me, and I would just be in another world. Something similar happened to me in when I get enrolled into BETA. There is a BETA convention held and it is far out of state, so just like the Gifted trips I took long ago, I got to travel with some friends who were also enrolled and compete in a country-wide competition. It wasn't just the competition that was fun, seeing the state and walking around, chatting with friends as we passed some beautiful sights, and meeting new faces while we were there. The BETA trip gave me nostalgia of trips of old, and it is a memory I'll always keep with me. I may not like school but this school in particular gave me some of my most cherished memories and I cannot be any more grateful.
