This project was one of the largest projects, but also very short, only lasting about three days total. In this project, we had to use old and disposable materials and make it into something new. This was part of our unit of "kindness" and it shows throughout the whole unit. Many of the projects, including this one, can be used to form bonds with other people like the Friendship bracelets. Going back to this project, we had to re-use a previous technique and create something new. So what I did was that I created a basket using newspaper and weaving them together to create flexible, and somewhat sturdy sides for easy tampering later in the project. After two days of weaving and connecting together, I finished my newspaper basket but the project wasn't done yet. After finishing, I went back to the powerpoint I had to do for this unit. At the beginning of the unit, Dr. Kurt had us record our expirences and a picture on the powerpoint. This powerpoint covered all projects from this unit, including this one and goes in more detail about my expirence with my project. Finally, I finished the powerpoint, but I had one more thing to do, an artist statment on this project. After finishing the other two parts of this project, I started on the last part. The artist statement had to cover many things in detail, and so I followed. I mainly spoke about my expiriences but I also covered my strengths and weaknesses in this project, additionaly, I also talked about what worked and what did not. Overall, this project was simple yet complex with many parts I had to think about. I had fun with this project, but some stress came out of it too, but overall, this project was more enjoyable than others by far.
