This project was based off of the Mali king Sundiata. We created face masks like represented something we loved or attributes your life. We also created a play involving an alternating ending of Sundiata. The play had to include at least four characters in the book and most of the play was original.

From the book Sundiata, I learned everyone started small and the path that you choose is really what matters. From the play I learned how to edit a video, add music to a video and write a script. I like how much originality the project inspired for. I liked we were able to walk around campus filming the scenes of the play.

This project was based off of Purple Hibiscus. This project is an essay about how the main character of Purple Hibiscus, Kambili, changes. We learn from the book that Kambili has an abusive father and her life is strongly affect by it until she meets her open-thinking Aunty Ifeoma. Aunty Ifeoma taught Kambili how to express herself while her father just restricts her to think freely.

I like this project because I liked the book. I learned that you need to get away from people who restricts you in order to express your true self. I also learned that a person's wealth is not an accurate measurement of a person's success.
