Amniotic egg

This is a picture of a chicken egg. This is an example of an amniotic egg which is anegg produced by reptiles, birds, and prototherian (egg-laying) mammals (amniotes), in which the embryo develops inside an amnion. The shell of the egg is either calcium-based or leathery.

Autotroph

This is a picture of bean sprouts. This is an example of an autotroph which is an an organism that is able to form nutritional organic substances from simple inorganic substances such as carbon dioxide.

Bilateral Symmetry

This is a picture of a black plum which is a plant that is bilaterally symmetrical which means that it has a mirror image when divided along a midline called the sagittal plane.

Eukaryote

This is a picture of white mold which is a fungus. Fungi are eukaryotes and have a complex cellular organization. As eukaryotes, fungal cells contain a membrane-bound nucleus where the DNA is wrapped around histone proteins. A few types of fungi have structures comparable to bacterial plasmids (loops of DNA).
