Geometry H

Coding Project

This project is about guiding a lost geometric shape to its home by changing its shape, size, and direction. We do that by putting codes in a certain order so the geometric shape doesn't get stuck. Then, we run the code and if it fails, we try again. At the end we get to create our own challenging level.

In this project, we learned how to code. We learn about reflection, rotation, translation, and dilation. I liked this project because it involved coding. I also like the idea that we can create our own level because it is like creating a simple game.

Ramp Project

In this project we designed a ramp for ADA using trigonometry and surface area calculation. We had two materials options, one being plywood and one being steel. We calculated the cost for both plywood and steel after we designed the ramp itself. At the end, we submitted a recommendation letter to the ADA.

What I like about this project was the fact that we designed our ramp with constrain. I also liked how we were able to select the method of purchasing steel or plywood. I learned how to write a recommendation letter for a company. I also learned about the surface area calculation for a ramp.
