Overview:

This lesson begins with Caldecott Medal winning book Radiant Child: The Story of Young Artist Jean Michel Basquiat by Javaka Steptoe. Following a brief introduction to mixed media techniques, young artists will create their own Basquiat-inspired abstract masterpiece using their art supplies and other found materials.
