Overview - Young artists will learn the basics of value, pen and ink techniques, and how to make a value scale through the Google Slides shared below. Additionally, they will create meaningful doodles, creating a unique and personal composition that reflects their thoughts, feelings, and interests.
Materials - paper and pen (ballpoint, felt tip, fine tip sharpie - whatever is available will work)
Vocabulary
Scribbling - loosely drawn lines with no intended subject
Stippling - marks made by adding dots
Hatching - lines repeated in the same direction
Cross-Hatching - lines that intersect
Value - visible lightness or darkness
