Two angles whose sum adds up to 90°
Two angles whose sum adds up to 180°
Alternate angles are formed when two parallel lines are intersected by a transversal line. They are the angles on opposite sides of the transversal and inside the two parallel lines (alternate interior angles) or outside the two parallel lines (alternate exterior angles). A key characteristic of alternate angles is that they are equal when the lines are parallel.
Corresponding angles are the angles which are formed in matching corners or corresponding corners with the transversal when two parallel lines are intersected by any other line (i.e. the transversal).
Co-interior angles, also known as supplementary or allied angles, are formed when a transversal line intersects two other lines. They lie on the same side of the transversal and between the two other lines. If the two other lines are parallel, co-interior angles are supplementary, meaning they add up to 180 degrees.
