Studies of Religion 1, Stage 6 course promotes an awareness, understanding and application of the nature of religion and the influence of religious traditions, beliefs and practices on individuals and society with an emphasis on the Australian context. The course seeks to develop an understanding of how different religions have unique characteristics, societal influences and world views. This is an academic subject that aims to foster students’ religious understanding of the world and spiritual development.
