Note taking involves students actively listening or reading, identifying key points, and summarising or paraphrasing them in a concise and organised way. It:

• provides educators with an insight into students' comprehension skills

• supports students to better understand and remember the information presented 

• encourages active learning by promoting critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis of information.
