Soap Carving Basics

Objective

Students will learn the basics of soap carving, including how to safely use carving tools, create basic shapes, and add details to their sculptures.

Materials: Bars of soap (soft and easy to carve, such as Ivory soap), Carving tools (plastic knives, clay carving tools, toothpicks), Sandpaper (fine grit), Paper towels, Examples of simple soap carvings
