Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes
This week we are happy to welcome back Paul Hannaford.
Paul travels the country talking to groups across about knife crime, gang culture and addiction. He provides information about his life experiences.
Paul is delivering talks on:
Monday 7th March at Doncaster
Tuesday 8th March at North Lindsey
Speak with a tutor about your group attending, or book individually via the Student Toolbox.
It is important you are made aware of current issues in Britain. As part of this we need you to be aware of the Rule of Law.
Following on from Paul Hannaford attending this week, we want all members of our community to be aware of the Offensive Weapons Act (2019).
There's a short video from the National Police Chiefs' Council which provides up to date information.
You can find local information from the forces of both South Yorkshire and Humberside Police in relation to knife crime, by clicking on the images below.
Safeguarding and Inclusion
Stay Safe
We want all members of our community to feel safe. We will access individuals such as Paul to provide up to date information and examples of what life is like in Modern Britain.
We want to take the time this week to provide everyone with some general information about staying safe. Below is a short video from Tara, who is part of our safeguarding team.
Personal Alarms can be provided to students across all campuses.
To arrange for one of these to be provided, please contact supportcentre@dncolleges.ac.uk or speak with your Pastoral Coach.
