Mind Over Matter
@ DN Colleges Group
This week, we want to make you aware of a local charity which has been set up to support individuals.
DN Colleges Group and Mind Over Matter have a commitment together to work towards providing more physical activity opportunities.
Mind Over Matter is a charity which was set up to encourage individuals to take part in physical activity - such as football, walking and yoga.
Physical activity can support wellbeing, improve concentration and contribute to overall health.
Find out about Mind Over Matter by watching the video below
Here's a video about James and his story. James is a part of the Mind Over Matter team.
When watching this we want you to consider:
How can sport support with mental health
Who could you signpost someone who is struggling and needs support ?
During your time at College you can take part in a variety of sporting activities through our be well team.

Safeguarding and Inclusion
County Lines is a subject we look at and remind our students about throughout the year.
This is because of the importance of keeping our students aware of the dangers that this can bring.
This week we want you to watch the short film ' Running The Lines '.
Even if you are not directly affected we need you to be aware to look out for others.
World Of Work
Following on from previous weeks content we are now looking to support students across the DN Colleges Group with mock interviews.
This can help and support you for next steps with employment, a new course or Higher Education.
To arrange an interview contact:
