APPROACH
Theoretical/project-based
This curse aims at providing the necessary knowledge linked to the development of professional skills in the textile and knitwear world. Through individual meetings focused on the composition of a visual representation of the project, the students have a chance to create a visual book that will be a decisive tool to convey their ideas and competencies. In dedicated meetings, the students will get in contact with different fields of their professional world, and learn the specific dynamics of the textile production chain.
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Master visual communication tools, so as to present original textile design and/or knitwear design projects
Understand the dynamics behind the professional world
Familiarise with the figures and roles in their professional field
Front lessons and regular reviews will guide the students through the graphic representation of their projects, which will include all the research, design, development, and representation phases.
Also, the course aims at providing knowledge and analysis tools that can be applied to the relevant professional industry. Some classes will see the students meet professional figures from the industry of their interest.
This is a theoretical/project-based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out didactic activities that are functional to achieving the learning goals, that may vary and, in both modules, may include:
Front lectures
Development of individual projects
Individual study and research
Laboratories
Exercises and revisions
Individual sessions and tutoring
The course assessment criteria may include the submission of research, papers, and projects.
Further details on the specific tests will be given by the professor.
Didactic material and bibliographic references can be given by the professors during the course in the form of notes, as well as recommendations for readings and movies.
A lot of this material, together with other in-depth study material, can be consulted online in MyNaba, in the Library section.
Further books and other recommended or required resources may be specified by the professor.
