APPROACH
Theoretical
This course studies and analyses fabrics in terms of cultural geography, tracing back in the history and travels of fabrics what is called the "world's weft", going in-depth in the intertwining of history and art, costume and fashion, and historical, political, economic, social, and cultural changes. Through the discovery of different textile-related themes in the fields of culture, art and fashion, the students can broaden their vision to include useful research references, and better define their inspiration also in terms of innovation, technology and sustainability.
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 6 CFA credits.
