Theoretical
This course guides the student in the identification of useful elements to create their personal narrative. Starting with a historic-aesthetic analysis in the field of fashion as well as Fiber and Textile Art communication, the students investigate, through an analysis of phenomena, the flow of changes and contaminations that compose contemporary fashion as well as textile art language, together with their links to other media.
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Know the theoretical principles of communication and fashion as well as Fiber and Textile Art language
Understand the methodology of fashion and textile phenomenology
Apply all the acquired knowledge in research work
This course analyses contaminations and evolution of fashion communication, starting from the recent past until today. The study will focus on historical elements that belong to fashion as well as Fiber and Textile Art communication, complemented by the in-depth analysis of codes and communication languages of contemporary brands.
This is a theoretical course. During the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects that will be developed:

Individual study and research
Field trips

Submission of research works, essays or projects
