APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This is a strongly experimentation-oriented course, and is associated with the development of the final project. The students, individually or as a group, are guided into the development of the pre-production phase of their final project, according to the two specialisations of the course in documentary films or creative coding.
This course is made of a single module of 12 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
RHINO:
Master the main 3D modelling functionalities in Rhinoceros, a widely diffused software for Industrial Design and Interior design
Manage solid modelling with deformation and surface modelling tools to create organic shapes
Master design and project presentation tools with the creation of illustrations for print and renderings
GRAPHIC AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATION:
Understand basic visual and digital communication
Understand graphics and web analysis skills
Use design and interior design project presentation tools in a digital environment
Successful students will be able to:
→ Understand and apply R&D processes within their fields of in- terest
→ Manage all the pre-production phases of their final projects
→ Be self-sufficient in the research phase, using contemporary references
→ Pair technological and aesthetic innovation
→ Methodology of research
→ Methodology of R&D
→ From concept to production plan
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment is based on the final projects presentation and may include:
→ Oral exam
→ Creation of project documents
→ Creation of tech demos
→ Creation of a complete project
→ Assessed revisions or mid-term tests
The assessment criteria refer to the quality of contents, methodo- logical consistency of the projects, creativity and originality of the projects.
