Theoretical/project based
The course aims at providing basic understanding of materials and their processing, which enables the students to choose and use suitable materials in the design-specific planning and prototyping phases.
This course aims at guiding the students towards the creation of non-fiction, short or medium-length film based on teamwork. The course covers pre-production, production and post-production of complete audio-visual projects.
This course is made of a single module of 12 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
→ Develop a subject for one o more short films
→ Manage production
→ Implement and manage post-production
→ Understand limits and opportunities of projects targeted at an international audience
→ Contemporary non-fiction
→ Authorial contemporary non-fiction
→ Production
→ In-camera editing
→ Longtake
→ Portrait
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment is based on the final projects presentation and may include:
→ Oral exam
→ Short films
→ Assessed revisions or mid-term tests
The assessment criteria refer to the quality of contents, methodological consistency of the projects, creativity and originality.
