Instructions:
Form pairs or small groups of 3 members.
Each group will be given a sample language learning material or a brief description of a material development plan related to the key principles and procedures of materials development.
You will have 3–5 minutes per round to quickly review and critique the material or plan, focusing on:
How well it applies key principles such as learner engagement, reflection, experiential learning, and meaningful output.
Whether it follows proper procedures like needs analysis, clear objectives, content organization, and evaluation.
Strengths and areas for improvement.
After each round, groups will rotate to a new material or plan to critique.
At the end of the activity, each group will share their most insightful critique and suggestions for improvement.
