ACADEMIC PROCESSES

Enlistment and Enrollment

Undergraduate students are encouraged to pre-enlist the courses they plan to take for the upcoming term. This will assist the different college departments in the projection of course offerings.

Before a trimester starts, students (excluding freshman during their first and second terms) are supposed to enlist in the subjects or courses that they plan to take for that academic trimester. This usually starts 2 weeks before the start of the term.

Dropping or Withdrawal of courses refers to the process in which a student voluntarily unenrolls from a course.

Other Academic Concerns and Processes

The term “Leave of Absence” (LOA) refers to an absence from the university. Students on LOA are not enrolled in any course, are not considered bonafide students, and are not allowed to enter the campus except as occasional visitors to transact with certain offices.

Shifting is the transfer from one program to another of the same level. This can be internal (to another course of the same college) or external (to another course of different college).
