Austin Middle School, united with families and the community, will cultivate innovative thinkers, leaders and contributors in preparation for challenges in our diverse and competitive world. Through collective efforts, we will ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for each student to strive for excellence. 

We, the AMS staff, collectively commit to:

  •         Identifying and meeting all students at their levels to close the gaps.

  •         Providing opportunities for intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and cultural growth.

I believe the mission of educational leaders is to ensure quality and equity in education for all students. We must advocate in the best interest of our students by establishing processes and policies structured to meet the needs of the whole student. We must continually strive to provide students the very best digital tools/resources to leverage for their academic quests. This should exist in a collaborative culture with students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders that improves learning outcomes for all students.

Serving as the VILS Liaison, I am able to work with campus leaders continually making adjustments as needed in key processes that positively impact campus culture, teacher leader growth, and student outcomes.
