DGS Dress Code

Uniform Expectations

Parents are asked to ensure that their children are in the correct uniform when they leave home in the morning. Students are expected to be in proper uniform everyday school day unless there is a special event and students have been informed that the uniform is optional. Students who are out of uniform without a satisfactory explanation will receive a call home informing the parents of the uniform expectations. Repeated issues with dress code will be treated as a behavioral issue. All shirts, shorts, pants, and skirts will be provided by the school. If your child should need a different size or additional clothing please contact the school office@dgs.org.vn with your child’s full name, grade, advisor, the item of clothing and size needed.

Required

• TOPS: Choice of long sleeved polo or short sleeved polo provided by the school

• BOTTOMS: Choice of skirt, athletic or khaki shorts, or athletic or khaki pants, that has been provided by the school. Additional uniform pieces may be purchased if desired.

• FEET: Sport shoes, comfortable flat shoes, or sandals (preferred to have a strap on the back of the sandal). No flip-flops, slippers or heels. Proper athletic shoes required for outdoor activities and exercise classes. Students may wear rain boots to school. Students can keep an extra pair of shoes and socks in their locker.

Optional

• TOPS: Warm jacket provided by the school

• BOTTOMS: Leggings, tights, or long socks are allowed if worn under uniform skirt or uniform shorts

• HEAD: A personal hat and/or sunglasses for outdoor activities. The hat and/or sunglasses is to be worn outside only

• HAIR ACCESSORIES: Headbands, barrettes, bobby pins, bows, clips, etc
