Distance Learning Behavior

It is a reality that we may have to be in distance learning at some point during the school year. DGS behavioral guidelines apply while you are learning and working online. In addition, it is important to follow the guidelines for responsible use of technology. We want you to learn, stay safe and be healthy while in distance learning.

Zoom Expectations

• Please make sure that you’ve signed in using your DGS email and that you have named yourself with your REAL name.

• We want to be able to connect with you in the best way possible for you and for your teachers & classmates. For many of you, that means we need you to have your camera on.

  • A virtual background might be good!

• Please make sure you are at a clean, organized working space (not in your bed).

• Wear your uniform, and finish your breakfast (or lunch) before you join the call.

• The teacher is the only person who should be taking screenshots and teachers will ask permission before taking the screenshot.

• Please use respectful communication in the Zoom chat. Zoom chat is a way to communicate with teachers and peers about learning.
