Greetings Ruby Young Personalized STEAM Academy Families, 

I apologize for the late edition of the newsletter. I have been out and returned today. 

I hope that you and your families are doing well. We are starting this week with some campus changes. Our Principal, Ms. Smith, sent out an email last week about some staffing changes on our campus. Our Math Interventionist, Mrs. Allen, is starting a new chapter at the DeSoto Alternative Education Program. We are working diligently to fill that position soon. Also, we were over capacity in 4th grade. We are fortunate to have Mrs. Duncan joining us as our new 4th-grade Math and science teacher. Mrs. Handsome, who previously served as a 1st grade teacher on campus, is transitioning to 4th grade as the the ELAR & Social Studies teacher. We currently have one of our amazing long-term subs, Ms. Hartwell, working with our 1st-grade students. We know that these changes can be difficult, but we greatly appreciate your patience and support as we work to provide the best educational experience for all our students.

Our Grandparents Day Celebration is this Friday from 8:15-9:00AM. Please join us for some goodies with your grandkids. 

Big Kahuna Fundraiser - We are encouraging all of our students to participate. Make sure your student is turning in their tickets to the front office for a special prize. We hope to have lots of students earning a ride on the party bus by selling 15 items.
