Course Requests/Catalog
Course selection for the coming year typically begins in February. Counselors visit classrooms to talk about the course selection process and share a course bulletin with students. The course offerings list is used for reference only as students are required to submit their course requests through the Google course request form found in their respective Google Counseling Classroom.

Students are responsible for working with their counselor and parents/guardians to select classes, both required and elective, necessary for meeting high school graduation and/or A-G requirements for college entrance.
THE DEADLINE TO MAKE CHANGES TO COURSE REQUESTS for current PDHS students ISMAY 10, 2024!
The classes students choose determine staffing and course needs for the following year and it is extremely important that all students submit a course request or communicate changes to their counselor no later than May 10.
Counselors will meet with all students and are available to assist parents and students in making appropriate decisions based on their postgraduate plans.
All students MUST SUBMIT a Google Course Request Form through the Google Counseling Classroom, counselors will then review these selections with students, making sure that the student gets all the academic classes needed for graduation. The electives chosen will be based on what is available and not necessarily what the student would have chosen. This is why it is very important that students complete the form and have it signed by parents and any teachers who require recommendations!

1) Please review the appropriate resources before choosing your courses :

Course PREVIEW: Class of 2028(for incoming freshmen; this is the form a PDHS counselor provided during their visit to your class)

2) Decide which courses you want to take in 2024-2025. Indicate your 6 classes on your course request sheet by filling in the bubble next to your desired courses. Be sure to include 1-2 electives as alternate choices.

3) Review your courses with your parent(s)/guardian(s). STUDENT AND PARENT ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES ARE REQUIRED ON THE GOOGLE FROM COURSE REQUEST ABOVE!
4) APPLICATIONS: If you selected a course that requires an application, you MUST complete the application prior to meeting with your PDHS counselor and bring it with you. Please select from the list below.

5) Have your Google Course Request Form and application(s) completed and submitted by the day you meet with your PDHS Counselor.
