11th Grade
Your junior year at PDHS will bring rigorous classes and conversations about preparing for your future will become more intense. Here are some tips to find success in 11th grade:
Study! Pass all classes with a C or better
Continue your involvement in school and extracurricular activities
Refine four-year plan with counselor
Continue college / career exploration using www.californiacolleges.edu.
Visit College/Career Center on campus
Update your high school personal resume
Attend Junior Info Night (held in the Spring)
Take the PSAT/NMSQT
Take the ASVAB to identify career aptitudes
Prepare for and take CAASPP state tests to meet EAP requirements
Take an SAT prep course and plan to take the SAT and/or the ACT (College entrance exams, waived for CSU and UC schools but may still be required at universities across the nation)
Review your transcript and track your progress toward A-G completion
Choose challenging courses for next year
