The Bawat Paaaralan May LIBLIFE project is an inspiring initiative by the City Schools Division of Tayabas, spearheaded by Division Librarian Ms. Edna E. Eclavea. Originally envisioned in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, LIBLIFE (LIBrary, Learn, Innovate, Fantasize, Explore) aims to use modern technologies to make educational resources more accessible and support learning, even from a distance.

The goal of the program is to make learning materials, resources, and teaching tools available to students, researchers, and the community, helping bridge the gap created by the pandemic. One of the key components of LIBLIFE is the use of the LR Portal, a digital platform that allows teachers to access teaching materials and digital resources, ensuring that students can continue to learn from home

In the middle of 2021, the Bawat Paaaralan May LIBLIFE initiative expanded to reach even more communities by bringing libraries directly to the barangays. This expansion was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Local Government Unit (LGU) and the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC), with strong leadership from ABC President Capt. Ricardo Queano. The goal was to ensure that libraries became more accessible to every household, especially in light of the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic.

As a result, fourteen barangays have established community library hubs, making resources and educational materials more readily available to local residents. These barangays are: Brgy. Anos, Brgy. Calumpang, Brgy. Camaysa, Brgy. Pandakaki, Brgy. Ibabang Bukal, Brgy. Ipilan, Brgy. Gibanga, Brgy. Lawigue, Brgy. Lita, Brgy. Masin. Brgy. Silangang Katigan, Brgy. Potol, Brgy. Talolong, and Brgy. Valencia

These community hubs have become vital spaces for fostering a love of learning and supporting the educational development of students, researchers, and the community at large. Moving forward, the program will continue to enhance the quality and effectiveness of its services by developing new strategies to cultivate readers, introduce valuable advocacies, and promote lifelong learning despite the challenges of time.

Through these efforts, the libraries in Tayabas aim to maintain a strong connection with the community and contribute to the growth of education at all levels.
