National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH)

Background: Passing the National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH), also known as the Principal's Test, is one of the requirements in the appointment and reclassification of all aspiring applicants to the Principal and Assistant Principal positions in all public elementary and secondary schools. The NQESH "is a measure of profiency of the taker's competencies in becoming a school head based on the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads" (DM 25, s. 2023).

Organizational and Professional Development for Non-Teaching Personnel (OPDNTP)

Background: The Organization and Professional Development for Non-Teaching Personnel (OPDNTP) is a fund source to support the different interventions envisioned to build and strengthen the capabilities of the agency, its offices, and its people to proactively respond to the current and future demands in the Department. Currently, it is being managed by the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development, through the Human Resource Development Division (BHROD-HRDD).

Human Resource Development (HRD) Fund

Background: The Human Resource Development Funds are allocated to support the implementation of initiatives relative to the continuing professional development of public school teachers and school leaders at various governance levels. It has three (3) components: (1) the Central Office-Managed Funds; (2) the Program Support Fund (PSF); and, (3) the In-Service Training (INSET) Fund. The implementation of programs associated with these funds is lodged in various offices at the Central (CO), Regional (ROs), and Schools Division Offices (SDOs).
