Cluster 2 -
Continuous Improvement
headed by: City Central Elementary School
CI Cluster 2 includes: North District 1, North District 3 and North District 4
Continuous Improvement (CI) is an ongoing effort to make incremental improvements to products, services or processes over time. Processes are constantly audited and modified on their sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness.
We, the City Central Elementary School CI coaches are privileged and honored to be chosen as one. Though being the chosen one is coupled with great responsibilities. But we accepted the challenge because we want to share the knowledge that we have gained when it was our time to do the process of CI. We want change, we want to make a difference in our own little way. Thus, we followed the scheduled religiously without counting how much time we spent because we love what we are doing.
So, to have a comprehensive and thorough coaching, we , the City Central Elementary School CI Team, scheduled the North Districts 1, 3, and 4 every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday respectively. We spend half of the day in mentoring or coaching the CI Teams under these three districts. We even open our personal account just to answer their queries about CI steps and processes. We coached even beyond working hours. Moreover, we started our coaching since January until the end of their project. This is to capacitate the different CI Teams under our cluster for them to roll it out in their respective schools in the future.

Continuous Improvement (CI) is a methodology which continually assesses, analyzes and acts on the improvement of key processes focusing on both the customer needs and the desired performance that enliven DepEd’s commitment to build a culture of continuous learning and improvement. It is in this line that CI’s context is integrated in the learning environment to better respond to the changing times and to mobilize the vision of shaping a culture that will have direct and relevant impact to the learners. CI certification program was centered on reviewing the major changes and trends that impact the society and families, appreciating the changing contexts of Department of Education and the Filipino Learners, understanding the dynamics and requirements of change in order to respond effectively, evaluating preparedness and transition requirements for Continuous Improvement in the respective areas and the Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
