Women play a vital role in the community. They serve as pillars of love, care and strength. To honor their contributions, Benito J. Quibod Elementary School (BQUES) kicked off the celebration of National Women’s Month with a meaningful program at the school’s covered space, yesterday at 3 PM.
The short program began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Marife S. Fabiaña, Teacher III, followed by a prayer offered by Jherame D. Del Rosario, Teacher II. School Principal I, Ireene P. Saligumba, highlighted the invaluable contributions of women in the learning community and encouraged learners to always respect their mothers, teachers and all women in society.
Cresal Ven T. Ecoy, Master Teacher II and BQUES Guidance Counselor, presented the statement of purpose for the program and the National Women’s Month celebration.
Selected Grade 6 learners performed an intermission number, adding energy to the event.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a lively Zumba session led by Noviene Q. Abril, Teacher II, BQUES MAPEH Coordinator and Wellness Program In-Charge, promoting health and wellness among learners and teachers.
The program concluded with a closing prayer by Jesusa J. Mendez, Teacher II, followed by pictorials commemorating the event.
The kickoff set a joyful and inspiring tone for National Women’s Month, combining appreciation, wellness and community spirit.
