Benito J. Quibod Elementary School successfully conducted its SPTA Officers' Election for School Year 2025–2026 today, bringing together passionate parents committed to making a difference.
The election was facilitated by School Principal Ireene P. Saligumba and attended by 17 dedicated Homeroom PTA Presidents, along with grade-level head teachers, who gathered with a shared goal — to elect leaders who will represent and strengthen the partnership between parents and teachers.
Hon. Theresa L. Amarille, who served as SPTA President last school year, was once again entrusted with the role through reelection, a testament to her good leadership and commitment. Joining her are the newly elected officers:

Retchelyn Sentillas and Mary Jean Siblero – Public Information Officers

After the election, the group engaged in a productive discussion to identify the agenda items for the upcoming General PTA Assembly.
With their shared goals and collaborative spirit, the newly formed team looks forward to a meaningful and impactful year ahead in support of the learning community. #
Under the leadership of School Principal Ireene P. Saligumba, the school conducted its monthly meeting on February 26 at her office. Saligumba presided over the meeting in behalf of SPTA President Theresa V. Amarille, who was unable to attend due to medical check-up.
The meeting commenced at 9:30 AM with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Meramel D. Rosario. The agenda included updates per grade level, payment of PTA and Campus Journalism contributions, preparation for the General PTA Meeting, updates on General PTA projects and Brigada Pagbasa.
During the discussion, it was reported that most of the HRPTA projects have already been completed. Parents were also encouraged to settle their annual PTA and Campus Journalism contributions to support school activities.
The body also finalized the schedule and agenda for the General PTA Meeting, which will be held on March 13, 2026 (Friday) at 1:00 PM. The agenda will include SMEA Reporting, Financial Report and Accomplishment Report.
Moreover, it was discussed that during Brigada Eskwela for SY 2026-2027, the school will implement Brigada Pagbasa to assess the reading proficiency level of learners. The results will help the school and teachers design appropriate reading intervention programs.
Important upcoming school activities were also highlighted. The Year-End Rites for Grade 6 and the Moving Up Ceremony for Kindergarten will take place on March 30 in the morning. The Recognition Ceremony for Grades 1–5 learners will also be conducted on March 30 in the afternoon. During this event, PTA officers will also receive Certificates of Recognition for their support and service to the learning community.
It was also noted that March 19 and 20 will be the schedule for the Fourth Quarter Examination, while Grade 6 learners will take their examinations earlier.
On the other hand, parents were reminded to submit the PSA birth certificates of their children to the advisers.
Additionally, Mrs. Maria Victoria R. De Leon suggested that the prizes for the winners of the Best Gulayan sa Harap ng Silid-Aralan Contest be awarded during Brigada Eskwela so that the winning classrooms can utilize them for their gardening initiatives in the next school year.
The meeting was adjourned upon the motion of Mr. Ortizano, which was seconded by Mrs. Razo. The closing prayer was led by Mrs. Maria Victoria R. De Leon. The meeting officially ended at 10:43 AM.
