Another meaningful School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session was conducted at BQUES on February 27 from 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. The activity began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem conducted by Noviene Q. Abril, Teacher II, followed by an opening prayer led by Lina C. Salvilla, Teacher II. The checking of attendance was facilitated by Suzette A. Relatado, Teacher I.
After the preliminaries, the session commenced. Rachel Anne S. Lagunay, Teacher II, introduced the features of CANVA and guided the teachers in creating their accounts. She also provided an overview of the CANVA dashboard to help participants become familiar with the platform. Meanwhile, Mary Sweetheart Vaniza C. Estimada, Teacher III, demonstrated how to navigate the application and taught the participants basic layouting techniques for designing instructional materials.
As part of the workshop, teachers created learning resources anchored on the least learned competencies for the third quarter. The activity emphasized a data-driven approach to ensure that the developed materials address specific learning gaps among learners.
The session also included a discussion on the End-of-School-Year Assessments, particularly the CRLA, PHIL-IRI and RMA. These were discussed by Ireene P. Saligumba, School Principal I, Melanie M. Datulayta, Teacher III and Annabel C. Suelo, Teacher III.
Cresal Ven T. Ecoy, Master Teacher II, served as the session facilitator who also presented the objectives, while Maria Victoria R. De Leon, Teacher III, and Marife S. Fabiana, Teacher III, acted as documenters.
Before the session concluded, teacher-participants accomplished the LAC Reflection Form to capture their insights and learning from the activity.
