Making A Difference in Alternative Learning System Program of Olongapo City
Team teaching allows learners to be taught by ALS teachers in their respective expertise. This results in comprehensive learning across all major learning strands (LS), including LS 1 Communication Skills, LS 2 Scientific and Critical Thinking Skills, and L3 Mathematical and Problem Solving Skills. It also provides opportunity for teachers to improve their teaching abilities and learners' learning experience.
ALS started the year with a grateful heart as they recognized all stakeholders from the local government sector and public and private institutions at Subic Bay Travelers Hotel and Event Center last January 13, 2023. More opportunities welcome the passers of A.Y. 2021-2022 as ALS Senior High School Program opened in Olongapo City. The seminar was held last July 28, 2022, with speaker Ma'am Marsha F. Mojica , RGC Guidance Coordinator III of Olongapo City National High School. The activity shed light to learners who were still deciding which career to pursue, strand to take, institutions available, and other ALS exit concerns.
In preparation for the Presentation Portfolio Assessment Inter-District Revalida of ALS learners, ALS Olongapo, in collaboration with stakeholders from each community learning center, held a 2-week reading and numeracy intervention with a total of over 300 learners profile identified. Its purpose is to aid in the identification of remediations and the successful completion of their evaluation.
