To ensure learning continuity of Out-of-School Youths and Adults in Gapan City, the Schools Division of Gapan City through the Curriculum Implementation Division pilots the Alternative Learning System Senior High School Program. The program is being implemented in a stand-alone manner through the qualified and competent ALS teachers. Considering The preferences and aspirations of Gapanense OSYAs and capabilities of available ALS Teachers, HUMSS strand is being offered.

ALS subject specialist teachers were given assignment order by the SDS to serve as ALS SHS teachers and subject group head. A certain DALSC was also designated as the OIC-Head Teacher of ALS SHS Program to lead and oversee the program implementation.

The said ALS SHS program is also being implemented in Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Gapan City, wherein ALS SHS teachers are scheduled to provide in-person classes inside the jail.
