The BBC micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer designed for beginners in electronics and coding that makes learning to code as easy as possible. Programming the micro:bit can be done by computer or by the micro:bit app available for Android and iOS devices. Code can be designed using drag and drop blocks, Javascript, or Python.
Also included in this kit is a set of inventor devices that can be combined with the microbit to carry out more complex functions. There are many small parts that need to be carefully monitored and collected at the end of the loan period. Visit micro:bit.org for project ideas and to start coding immediately.
The kit contains 30 micro:bits for use with intermediate and high school classes with this kit best being suited for grades 6-12 depending on teacher knowledge and comfort.
