This Story grips you from the very beginning. The mystery constantly evolves on every page and you therefore can't put the book down. You can't predict the ending which is why I would recommend this book.

A priceless diamond has gone missing and it's up to a little girl called Max, and a very unexpected detective, to discover which of the passengers on the Night Train across Europe is the jewel thief.
This is a great wee book with wonderful illustrations by Marco Guadalupi. The characters are reminiscent of the cast of Wacky Races:-)

This might be something you have read or are currently reading as part of your studies and it's been around for a while but worth trying if you haven't come across it.
It's got everything you might want in a gripping crime novel. You think you know what is going on but then the book surprises you! There are lots of twists and turns, subplots and little extras to keep you gripped until the end. Its not gruesome if you like crime but don't want the really gory stuff but sad in parts.
Jason Reynolds is a fantastic rapper, poet and writer. He has already published many books in the US and we are now starting to get access to more and more of his books here in the UK.
The Long Way Down is written in verse and has a rap-like rhythm to it. The book covers only sixty-seven seconds of Will's life! As he heads out and goes down in the lift he meets ghosts from his past. But Will's brother has just been shot and he is out for revenge!

Sally Jones is a very unusual gorilla who also happens to be a ship's engineer! When her best friend, and Chief of the Hudson, is wrongly convicted of murder she is determined to clear his name. This sees Sally embarking on an adventure from Lisbon to Bombay!
I never in a million years thought I would enjoy a book where the main character was a gorilla that could use a typewriter and mend almost anything mechanical. How wrong was I, this was an absolutely wonderful read.
