Car-Jacked - Ali Spakes

I honestly can't think of a more exciting book! Jack is a young genius who just happens to be in the back of his parents' car when it is stolen. He may be the brainiest boy in the world but nothing has prepared him for what turns out to be the adventure of a lifetime. The pace of this book is incredible, I think I read it in one sitting - reading late into the night.

Alex Rider Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz

ebook available on borrowbox and overdrive ereading!

This is the first book in the Alex Rider series. The descriptor on the front says it all - Action; Adrenaline; Adventure! What more could you ask of a book in the Action category! Great film as well.

Silverfin by Charlie Higson

This is the first story in the Young James Bond series. The opening sequence is absolutely brilliant: tense, frightening and ultimately spine tinglingly chilling!

It is a fantastic page turning adventure with all the spills, chills, thrills and excitement of any 007 novel.

The Recruit by Robert Muchamore

First of the Cherub series, this book explains how James came to be a secret agent. The first part focusses on his homelife and circumstances that led to him being recruited. The second part goes through his basic training which is cold, brutal and unforgiving.

The third part of the book accompanies James on a mission into an environmental protection camp where he makes friends with the other kids and discovers a plot to poison a conference of oil suppliers. He puts himself in great danger at the same time and lives to pay the price!
