The Pharmacy Assistant program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the pharmacy field. Pharmacy Assistant program graduates are prepared to function as pharmacy technicians in positions requiring the preparation of prescribed medication under the supervision of a pharmacist. Graduates possess knowledge in anatomy and physiology, concepts and principles of the pharmaceutical field, drug calculation and administration, and principles of receiving, storing, and dispensing medications.
Note: Students must be 17 by January 1st of the enrollment year and have HEP B & Tetanus vaccinations and TB skin test
Career opportunities: Graduates may find entry-level employment in hospitals, retail pharmacies, nursing homes, and medical clinics

Other: Supplies, uniforms, malpractice insurance, background check, physicals, and pharmacy exam
Program registration is open from January - May each school year. Program enrollment is determined on a first come first serve basis. Students must meet all admission requirements to be enrolled in a CCI program. Additionally, all required registration steps must be submitted for an application to be considered complete.
