Step One: The student should speak to their counselor and inform their counselor of their interest in participating in a CCI Technical Program. The student's counselor will submit a recommendation form to the CCI.
Step Two: The student will complete a CCI Application, which will be available on the CCI website on January 20, 2026, at 8:30 am.
Step Three: After the counselor recommendation form and CCI application have been received, the student will be emailed a link from West Georgia Technical College to complete the admissions application. Students must be accepted by WGTC in order to participate in a CCI program. A 2.0 GPA is required for college acceptance. Additionally, the student will need a Social Security Number to complete the college application. The student's social security number is what the state uses to track student information and Dual Enrollment funding. If the student does not have a Social Security number, please leave the question blank. If you have questions about the use/need for the student's Social Security number, please reach out to your base high school counselor.
Step Four: The student and parent will complete the SPA/funding Application at GaFutures.org. The student will need to create a GAFutures account to complete this step.
Step Five: The student must watch and sign off on the DCSS Dual Enrollment Video and Agreement.
All applications and agreements must be submitted for your registration to be considered complete. Be sure to read all directions carefully before completing/submitting your applications. Errors may prevent your application from being viewed or processed.
All applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Application deadline is April 1st. Once all required steps have been completed, you will receive an email from the CCI confirming your acceptance into the program. Receiving an acceptance email from WGTC does not mean you have been accepted into the CCI Program.
