The Shampoo Technician certificate program introduces courses that prepare students for careers in the field of cosmetology as shampoo technicians. Learning opportunities develop academic and professional knowledge required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes specialized training for safety, sanitation, state laws, rules and regulations, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, hair, hair treatments and manipulations, hair styling, artificial hair, braiding/intertwining hair, reception sales, management, employability skills, and work ethics.
Career opportunities: Graduates are employable as Salon Receptionist, Shampoo Technician, Salon Managers

*Please note attendance for all program courses is mandatory. Students cannot miss more than 5% of the a class and pass. For most classes that is no more than one absence*
Program registration is open from January- May each school year. Program enrollment is determined on a first come first serve basis. Students must meet all admission requirements to be enrolled in a CCI program. Additionally, all required registration steps must be submitted for an application to be considered complete.
