The Game Development Specialist certificate program is designed to prepare students to work as entry level game developers. The student will be able to design and implement a game. Emphasis will be placed on development for the PC platform. The program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention and advancement.
Career opportunities: Graduates may find employment as entry-level programmers, video game developers, or video game designers.

This program does not have any required fees. However, students are responsible for the cost of any required supplies.
Textbooks for all courses are provided by WGTC. Students only be charged for a textbook if it is not returned or if it is returned damaged
Program registration is open from January - May each school year. Program enrollment is determined on a first come first serve basis. Students must meet all admission requirements to be enrolled in a CCI program. Additionally, all required registration steps must be submitted for an application to be considered complete.
